Simon Pearce, our IT Systems Developer, is leaving us temporarily next Wednesday to travel off to Tanzania which is on the east coast of Africa, just below Kenya.

He is going out there to work on a project for four weeks building a secondary school for the local people. Currently, the project is in its very early stages and other volunteers are currently making the bricks and building the playground, but soon other tasks will involve laying floors, digging trenches, painting and decorating and laying the roof.

Simon will be staying in hostel accommodation in Tanga, which is the third largest city in Tanzania and the village he will be working in is roughly 8 km away.

Simon will be returning to LIVE on Tuesday 8th November, with hopefully plenty of photos to show us what he has been up to!
