LIVE'S DEAL WITH E.SURV GUARANTEES BEST HIP PERFORMANCE IN MARKET

25 November 2005

The Live Organisation, the UK's leading provider of residential conveyancing and part of the First Title Group, has announced the latest development in its continuing campaign to produce the best possible HIPs for estate agents.

By teaming up with e.surv chartered surveyors, one of the leading firms of chartered surveyors in the UK, Live will be able to provide a consistent supply of surveying skills and so easily create the required number of reports for their existing and new clients.

Rob Sendall, Chairman of Live explains, "Lives' philosophy has always been to supply the best possible service for our clients and offer guarantees on that service. Working with e.surv allows us to provide absolute guarantees on providing a home inspector and producing a report within quick turnaround times. To deliver on this guarantee we needed a 100% reliable surveying resource. e.surv are already the UK's largest distributor of valuation instructions in the UK and their access to both employed and sub-contractor organisations make them the ideal choice."

e.surv offers a range of predominantly residential survey and valuation services to both private sellers and buyers and to the institutional lending market. There is also a comprehensive range of valuation services for institutional and broker clients. The company offers a range of reports on traditional construction, non-traditional construction, property defects, specialist reports and valuations. Its institutional clients include the majority of the high street lenders including for example Abbey, Alliance & Leicester, the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Northern Rock.

Paul Latham, Managing Director of e.surv, adds, "We have always been positive about the introduction of HIPs and this new deal with The Live Organisation demonstrates how we will become one of the leading providers of the HCR element of these reports. More information about properties for sale becoming available in the public domain can only be seen as positive step and, through The Live Organisation, we can assist the estate agency market in delivering on its soon-to-be legal obligations by providing the highest level of service through our existing panel management expertise."

Rob Sendall adds, "When the forthcoming Home Information Packs were announced, we quickly understood that there might be insufficient home inspection expertise to create the predicted number of Home Condition Reports. This resource gap has since been widely reported in the trade press. One of the other attractions to partnering e.surv was their homeinspectors.co.uk facility which offers training for prospective home inspectors along with accreditation and support for those newly qualified inspectors."
